eMotion LV1

An eMotion LV1 system consists of at least the following:

  1. Host computer: Controls the eMotion LV1 mixer as well as the SoundGrid network that connects all devices. The eMotion LV1 application is located on this computer, as are your plugins and preset files. eMotion LV1 runs on both Mac and Windows and supports multiple displays
  2. SoundGrid server: This is where your plugins are being processed. The power of the server has direct impact on the number of plugin instances you can run
  3. At least one SoundGrid I/O: Ranging from 2-channel preamps to multiple 128-channel audio interfaces (such as the DiGiGrid MGB/MGO SoundGrid-to-MADI I/Os). All I/O devices are connected to the SoundGrid network via Ethernet
  4. SoundGrid-compatible 1Gb Ethernet switch: Links the host computer, the server, and all I/O devices

Typical cable lengths for this setup (Cat 6 S/FTP):

  1. D1: Host computer to main switch – up to 100 meters
  2. D2: Server to main switch – up to 20 m
  3. D3: Main switch to secondary switch – up to 100 m
  4. D4: I/O device to main switch – up to 100 m
  5. D5: I/O device to secondary switch – up to 20 m

較大規模的 eMotion LV1 Setup

Large eMotion LV1

Here is a larger eMotion LV1 mixer setup, with extra control surfaces, more audio interfaces, a redundant server, and more:

  1. Host computer running the eMotion LV1 mixer
  2. Second multi-touch screen for eMotion LV1 (optional)
  3. SoundGrid server
  4. Redundant SoundGrid server (optional)
  5. SoundGrid-compatible 1Gb Ethernet switch
  6. SoundGrid I/O
  7. Additional computer for playback/recording (optional)
  8. External control surface (optional)
  9. Outside feed

When multiple devices are used on stage, it is advisable to connect all of them to a single Ethernet switch that connects to the main switch. Daisy-chaining Ethernet connections in these setups is not advisable.


I/O分享 Setup

I/O Sharing Setup

In this setup, two eMotion LV1 systems are connected to the same SoundGrid network and are sharing stageboxes between front-of-house and the monitor position.

  1. Host computer running the eMotion LV1 mixer
  2. SoundGrid server
  3. Redundant SoundGrid server (optional)
  4. SoundGrid I/O
  5. SoundGrid-compatible 1Gb Ethernet switch

針對 MADI 舞台IO/Stagebox 的 eMotion LV1 Setup 

eMotion LV1 for MADI

In this setup, the eMotion LV1 mixer is receiving audio from your MADI stagebox via a MADI-to-SoundGrid audio interface. Up to 128 audio channels are being streamed to the eMotion LV1 mixer in real time.

  1. Host computer running the eMotion LV1 mixer
  2. Second multi-touch screen for eMotion LV1 (optional)
  3. Additional computer for playback/recording (optional)
  4. SoundGrid DSP server
  5. SoundGrid-compatible 1Gb Ethernet switch
  6. SoundGrid I/O
  7. MADI-to-SoundGrid audio interface. Available interfaces:
    • DiGiGrid MGB or MGO
    DirectOut SG.MADI
  8. MADI stagebox

針對 Avid VENUE系統 的 eMotion LV1 Setup

eMotion LV1 for Avid Venue

In this setup, the eMotion LV1 mixer is used in conjunction with an Avid VENUE console. eMotion LV1 provides monitor mixes, while Avid VENUE provides the FOH mix. The two mixers are connected via a DiGiGrid DLI SoundGrid-to-Pro Tools audio interface.

  1. Host computer (in this example – tablet) running the eMotion LV1 mixer
  2. Additional computer for playback/recording (optional)
  3. SoundGrid-compatible 1Gb Ethernet switch
  4. SoundGrid I/O
  5. SoundGrid server
  6. DiGiGrid DLI SoundGrid-to-Pro Tools audio interface
  7. Avid VENUE live mixing console
